🤔What you might not know about this classic song is that The Fleetwoods recorded it 'a cappella', the only music was a rhythmic shaking of Troxel's car keys. Gary Troxel is the composer and singer, The musicless tape was then sent to Los Angeles. A little bit of instrumental accompaniment was added,, and the song went on to hit number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in April of 1959.
