💘Dave Clark Five | Do You Love Me (1964) #60smusic

"Do You Love Me" was written by Berry Gordy Jr. (Motown Records Owner). Gordy supposedly wrote it for The Temptations who had not yet had a hit song, he could not find them (they were at church). The Contours showed up to record "It Must Be Love", and Berry asked them to sing "Do You Love Me", and after several tries, they sang it exactly was Berry wanted and it went to number 3 on US Billboard 100 in 1962. The Dave Clark Five released the song in 1964, it went to number 11. Mr. P's Music Fans channel focuses on the music of the past, and is meant to be enjoyed.
