🎹Hoagie Carmichael Sings Georgia On My Mind (1930) | Music Only

🎶Hoagie Carmichael was a singer, writer, composer, musician, and lawyer. He wrote several hundred songs, 50 of which were hits. "Stardust' is probably is most memorable song, "Georgia On My Mind" is his second. This is a good quality (music only) rendition of the song with Hoagie as the singer. Washboard Blues and Steamboat Shuffle are some of his early songs that became jazz staples in the 20s. He wrote Stardust in 1927, but it did nothing until 1930. That was when Isham Jones and his orchestra recorded it as a slower ballad. The slower tempo worked, and the song became a hit. Hoagie Carmichael is considered to be one of the best song writers ever. Mr. P's Music Fans channel focuses on the music of the past, and is meant to be enjoyed.
